Actor Rana Daggubati has thanked fans for transforming the story of Baahubali and Bhallaladeva into a legacy, urging them to watch the new animated series Baahubali: Crown of Blood, which is currently available to stream on Disney+ Hotstar from May 17.
In a new promo video released by the creators of the Hotstar Special series on Thursday, Rana said, “Baahubali over these years has created a very special place in your hearts. I would like to thank every one of the audiences who has made this possible. It is beyond a story and a film. It has truly become a legacy.”
The 39-year-old actor thanked filmmaker S. S. Rajamouli, production house Arka Media Works, streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar and animation company Graphic India for continuing the franchise.
Baahubali: Crown of Blood follows the story of two rival brothers Baahubali and Bhallaladeva who join forces to overthrow several formidable monsters and protect the kingdom of Mahishmati.
The original 2015 live-action film featured Prabhas in the titular role, while Rana essayed the role of Baahubali's older cousin Bhallaladeva. Baahubali: The Beginning also starred Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishna, Sathyaraj and Nassar in key roles.
Rana Daggubati was most recently seen co-starring in the Netflix series Rana Naidu alongside his uncle Venkatesh. It is an official adaptation of the American crime drama series Ray Donovan.
