Ever since Liger’s trailer launch, Balamani aka Ramya Krishnan, grabbed our attention from the get go. The versatile actress took to social media to announce herself as the ‘ferocious, full of swag, brave and protective’ mother of Liger, played by Vijay Deverakonda. Liger is Deverakonda’s first Hindi action film, also starring Ananya Panday.
Ramya’s Instagram post about her character read, ‘‘She is fierce by nature & gentle by hear. Watch out for the Lady of the House, @meramyakrishnan as the MOTHER of #LIGER.’
It displays various moods of Ramya’s character. Balamani raises her son despite multiple challenges, celebrates with him when he fares well, scolds him when he fails, fights for him and does everything to show that Liger is the apple of her eye.
At the trailer launch, Ranveer Singh echoed our thought that ‘she packs a punch’ in Liger. Ramya shared the video on social media to show her gratitude.
The actress has won many accolades and awards in her career spanning three decades. She rose to national fame yet again owing to the roaring success of SS Rajamouli’s Bahubali, where she played Sivagami.
