Raaj Shaandilyaa’s upcoming film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video starring Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri will hit theatres on October 11, the actors announced on Tuesday.
“‘Get ready to rewind to the retro era with #VickyVidyaKaWohWalaVideo. Can’t wait for you to experience the magic!’ coming on 11th Oct 2024,” Triptii wrote on Instagram alongside a poster of the film.
The poster features the name of the film in funky colours. CDs, cassettes, a CD player and a CD cabinet appear in the background, hinting at music being at the core of the film.
Touted as a “retro nostalgia trip”, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video will take viewers back to the ‘90s. The poster also mentions that the film is “97% parivarik (97% family-friendly)”.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is penned by Shaandilyaa and Yusuf Ali Khan. Shaandilyaa, Shobha Kapoor, Ekta R Kapoor, Vipul D Shah, Ashwin Varde, Rajesh Bahl and Vimal Lahoti also serve as the producers of the film.
“Buckle up for a retro nostalgia trip! Excited to take you on a joy ride in #VickyVidyaKaWohWalaVideo 🎥 coming on *11th October 2024*,” Rajkummar wrote alongside the poster on Instagram.
Rajkummar will also be seen in Sharan Sharma’s sports drama Mr and Mrs Mahi alongside Janhvi Kapoor. The two actors are sharing screen space for the second time after the 2021 horror-comedy Roohi. The Aligarh actor has the biopic Srikanth in the pipeline, in which he plays an industrialist who pursued his dreams despite being visually impaired.
Triptii, who made her debut with the 2017 comedy film Poster Boys, is known for her performances in Anivita Dutt’s Bulbbul and the period film Qala. She last starred in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Triptii will be next seen in Bad Newz alongside Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk.
