Radhika Apte was stranded in the aerobridge at Mumbai airport for more than an hour following a flight delay, the actress said in an Instagram post on Saturday, accusing the security staff of locking passengers without any access to drinking water or washroom.
“I had to post this! This morning I had a flight at 8:30. It’s 10:50 now and the flight has still not boarded. BUT the flight said we were boarding and put all the passengers in the aerobridge and LOCKED IT,” the 38-year-old actress wrote alongside videos and photos showing the situation inside the aerobridge.
The video shows passengers locked behind a glass door and trying to have a word with the airport staff. “The passengers with small babies, elderly people have been locked in for over an hour. The security won’t open the doors. The staff has ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE,” Radhika added..
Narrating how the new flight crew has not arrived yet, Radhika wrote that she and the other passengers are not sure how long they will be locked inside. “I managed to escape briefly to speak to the very stupid staff woman outside who kept saying there is no issue and no delay :) now I’m locked inside 😃,” she wrote, adding how the security told her that they will be stuck till 12 pm at least.
Radhika also shared selfies with her friends as they sat on the floor of the bridge with their luggages.
Konkona Sensharma, whose latest thriller series Killer Soup dropped on Netflix on Thursday, commented that the whole situation is “unbelievable”.
Radhika recently appeared in Sriram Raghavan’s latest thriller Merry Christmas, starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi, which minted Rs 7 crore on its first day.
