Last week, filmmaker Raajhorshee De had the theatrical release of his film Sada Ronger Prithibi. Even before a week of his new film’s release, the director is all set to announce his next, titled Omon Bhromon. A Flixbug presentation, Omon Bhromon will be filmed as a musical travelogue of four female friends. Actors Nusrat Jahan, Srabanti Chatterjee, Swastika Mukherjee and Ananya Banerjee will be seen in lead roles. Other significant cast members of the film will include Barun Chanda, Devlina Kumar, Sayantani Guhathakurta and June.

Omon Bhromon will narrate the story of four friends — Shruti, Adrija, Aloknandini and Riya. Coming from different walks of life, the plot of the story will revolve around these girls’ decision to travel together. The story, screenplay and dialogues of the film have been written by Samragnee Bandyopadhyay and will emphasise female bonding or female friendships among other aspects.

Deviating from his pattern of working with a huge cast, director Raajhorshee will for the first time make a film with a small cast. The shoot of the film is expected to start soon in Thailand and Calcutta. “For the first time, I am making a film with such less number of actors but with the best actors in Bengal. Nusrat, Srabanti, Swastika and Ananya have never been cast together before. The film will feature my favourite, Devlina, along with a great supporting cast like June, Barun Chanda, Sayantani, Payel Deb, Papiya Pal and Swagata Pal. This film would have never been possible without Samragnee, one of the best writers of our times. She has written the story, screenplay and dialogue. Debapriyo Chakraborty, Flixbug and Michael Angel Studio will be producing it. Five web series and a couple of films are lined up this year from Flixbug with leading names from the industry helming them as directors. Omon Bhromon is a musical travelogue and a tribute to Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara,” said Raajhorshee.
