Dhokha: Round D Corner

T-Series on Wednesday released the official teaser of R. Madhavan’s upcoming thriller Dhokha: Round D Corner. Apart from Madhavan, the film also features Aparshakti Khurana, Darshan Kumar and debutant Khushali Kumar in prominent roles.

The one-minute-22-second-long teaser gives us a glimpse of the main characters as it follows an urban couple’s (played by Madhavan and Kaushali) bumpy journey after the woman is held hostage by a terrorist. However, everything is not how it looks.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Dharmendra Sharma and Vikrant Sharma, the film is directed by Kookie Gulati and is slated to hit theatres on September 23.

Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities

Netflix has released the first look teaser of Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, an upcoming horror anthology series from acclaimed Academy Award-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro.

Each of the eight episodes in the series will contain what is described as ‘genre-defining stories’ that will challenge the tropes and traditions of horror. Several notable horror directors — Panos Cosmatos of Mandy, The Empty Man’s David Prior, Vincenzo Natali of Splice, Jennifer Kent of The Babadook fame and others — are attached to the project.

In the one-minute-42-second-long teaser, del Toro presents us the worlds of his show with an exclusive first look of all the episodes.

Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities will be streaming on Netflix from October 25.

Cobra Kai: Season 5

Netflix has dropped the trailer of their The Karate Kid sequel Cobra Kai’s fifth season. The martial arts series stars William Zabka, Ralph Macchio, Martin Kove and others.

The official synopsis of the series read: “Following the shocking results of the All Valley Tournament, Sensei Terry Silver is expanding the Cobra Kai empire and trying to make his ‘No Mercy’ style of karate the only game in town. With Kreese behind bars and Johnny Lawrence setting karate aside to focus on repairing the damage he’s caused, Daniel LaRusso must call on an old friend for help.”

The two-minute-40-second-long trailer promises plenty of drama and action as it picks up the story from the cliffhanger of the Season 4 finale.

Cobra Kai Season 5 will be streaming from September 9.

God’s Creatures

A24 has shared the official trailer of their upcoming Irish gothic psychological thriller God’s Creatures, starring Emily Watson, Paul Mescal and Aisling Franciosi. Filmmakers Saela Davis and Anna Rose Holmer are known for helming The Fits.

God’s Creatures, which debuted in the Directors’ Fortnight section at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, is set in a windswept fishing village. It follows a mother (Watson), who is torn between protecting her beloved son (Mescal) and her sense of right and wrong. A lie she tells for him rips apart their family and close-knit community in this tense, emotional epic.

The two-minute-22-second-long trailer gives us a glimpse of the gripping psychological drama and suspense that surrounds the small fishing village amid betrayal, lies and gothic landscapes.

God’s Creatures will hit cinema halls on September 30.

Indian Predator: The Diary of a Serial Killer

Netflix has shared the official trailer of their upcoming docuseries The Diary of a Serial Killer, the second segment of their ongoing docuseries, Indian Predator, which revolves around the cases of Indian serial killers.

The series is directed by Dheeraj Jindal from a screenplay by Sudeep Nigam with Chandni Ahlawat Dabas and Moumita Sen serving as executive producers.

The synopsis of the show reads: “When a suspect is found in a journalist’s murder, the case is considered closed until a secret diary suggests 13 more victims — and possible cannibalism.”

Indian Predator: The Diary of a Serial Killer will be streaming from September 7.

The Unheard Tale Of Shane Warne

Amazon Prime Video has released the official trailer of Discovery+’s The Unheard Tale Of Shane Warne, an upcoming documentary on the Australian cricketing legend.

The documentary promises to delve on the unheard personal side of one of the greatest spin bowlers of all time. The documentary features his teammates like Mathew Hayden, Justin Langer and Ricky Ponting, among others, as well as his friends outside the cricket field.

The official synopsis reads: “Celebrating the life and career of Australian cricket legend Shane Warne. Some of those nearest and dearest to him showcase the highs and lows of the man who built an extraordinary career both on and off the pitch.”

The release date is yet to be announced by the streaming service.
