On Wednesday, the makers of the historical drama based on the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy shared a 52-second-long video thanking audiences for the love the show has received.
“Netflix Series & A YRF Entertainment Production - The Railway Men, a story of courage, completes 100 days in the Daily Top 10 In India on Netflix & Trended in the Weekly Top 10 in 36 countries. Highest ever for an Indian Series,” Netflix’s Instagram page wrote alongside the video.
The video kicks off with dark and gritty visuals of a train from the show. Thanking the fans, the four actors talk about how the show was an endeavour to bring out the stories of the unsung heroes of Bhopal. The video also features appreciative comments from audiences who watched the show.
Released on November 18 last year, the show explores the immediate aftereffects of the toxic gas leak from Union Carbide India Limited's plant in Bhopal. Created and directed by Shiv Rawail, the four-episode series is inspired by the real-life heroism displayed by Bhopal Junction railway station’s station master Ghulam Dastagir and his team.
