David Dhawan’s 1994 film Raja Babu (1994) revolves around the story of Raja (Govinda), an orphan adopted by a rich village couple. But when he falls in love with a city girl, played by Karisma Kapoor, he gets rejected due to his lack of sophistication. To win her love, he goes to great lengths to undergo a transformation and prove his worth.

Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani play three college friends in the 2004 film Masti. Unhappy with their marriages, the trio decide to have extramarital affairs to spice up their romantic lives. But things go downhill when they become the prime suspects of a murder.

Golmaal Returns (2008), the second instalment in the blockbuster comedy film series, follows a married man named Gopal (Ajay Devgn) who spends a night stranded on a yacht with a woman named Meera (Celina Jaitly), leading his suspicious wife, Ekta (Kareena Kapoor Khan), to believe he is having an affair. To prove his innocence, Gopal concocts a story about a fictitious friend but things spiral out of control when he gets involved in a murder.

While Partner (2007) revolves around a love guru who faces challenges in his own love life, Golmaal: Fun Unlimited (2006) follows the antics of four friends who con their way into living in a blind couple’s house.
