Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer Pushpa: The Rise is set to re-release in theatres on November 22 ahead of Pushpa 2: The Rule’s much-anticipated December 5 release worldwide, movie theatre chain PVR Cinemas announced on Tuesday.
“Allu Arjun’s masterpiece Pushpa: The Rise - Part 1 is coming back to the big screen! Rewind the action as you gear up for the epic second chapter! Re-releasing at PVR INOX on Nov 22,” PVR Cinemas’ official X page wrote, sharing a poster of the film.
According to ticket booking platform Book My Show, Pushpa: The Rise is scheduled for re-release in five languages — Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
The film was re-released in USA theatres on November 19. Prathyangiri Cinemas, which handled the US release of the film, made the announcement on its official X handle on Tuesday.
Pushpa: The Rise, released in 2021, was a global box-office success with a total collection of Rs 350.1 crore worldwide.
Allu, Rashmika and Fahadh Faasil reprise their roles in the sequel Pushpa 2: The Rule. Written and directed by Sukumar, the film also features Dhanunjay, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Ajay Ghosh.
The first-look teaser of the film, released on April 8, shows Allu’s sari-clad Pushpa Raj fighting off goons. The teaser highlights a Jaathara sequence, also known as the Sammakka Saralamma Jaathara, a festival celebrated in Telangana to honour tribal goddesses. This four-day festival draws millions of devotees each year.
The film's music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, while Miroslaw Kuba Brozek has handled the cinematography, contributing to the movie's immersive visual and auditory experience.
