T-Series on Friday confirmed the news on Twitter by sharing an image of the actor, director and producers. “Brace yourselves for this massive collaboration between three powerhouses of India - Producer Bhushan Kumar, Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and superstar Allu Arjun,” it wrote in the caption.

The shoot of the film will commence after the wrap-up of Prabhas-starrer Spirit, also produced by T-Series and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Vanga’s Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, is scheduled to hit the theatres this year.

Vanga rose to stardom with his 2017 Telugu-language romantic drama film Arjun Readdy, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey. He then remade the film in Hindi with the title Kabir Singh in 2019 with Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in lead roles. Both films went on to be blockbusters.

Allu Arjun made his debut as a lead in 2003’s Telugu-language film Gangotri and subsequently appeared in blockbuster Telugu films like Arya (2004), Desamuduru (2007), Iddarammayilatho (2013) and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (2020).

The 40-year-old actor is currently shooting for Sukumar’s Pushpa: The Rule, which is the sequel to 2021’s action drama Pushpa: The Rise. Also starring Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Sunil, Pushpa: The Rule is likely to arrive in cinemas in 2024.
