A poster the makers shared along with the post shows Allu’s Pushpa sitting on a pile of notes.

Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 is the sequel to Allu’s 2021 film Pushpa: The Rise, which became a massive box-office success across India.

While Allu is set to reprise his role as the titular character Pushpa Raj, Rashmika and Fahadh Faasil will also return as Srivalli and SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, respectively. The trailer, dropped on November 17, promises an epic showdown between Pushpa and SP Shekhawat. The video also teases Pushpa and Srivalli’s on-screen chemistry.

The two-minute-48-second-long trailer further offers a glimpse at actress Sreeleela’s much-talked-about dance number Kissik. Clad in a black lehenga, ‘dancing queen’ Sreeleela sets the dance floor ablaze with her electrifying steps.

The music for Pushpa 2: The Rule has been scored by Devi Sri Prasad, while Miroslaw Kuba Brozek has handled the cinematography.

Pushpa 2: The Rule is slated to hit theatres on December 5.

Pushpa: The Rise starred Allu as Pushpa Raj, a lorry driver rising through the ranks of a red sandalwood smuggling syndicate. Rashmika played Pushpa’s love interest, Srivalli, a milk seller whom he married towards the end of the film. Released on December 17, 2021, the film grossed approximately Rs 350 crore worldwide, thereby emerging as the highest-grossing Indian film that year.
