Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta attended the two-day IPL auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on November 24 and November 25.
Sharing pictures from Day 1 of the event on Instagram on Wednesday, Preity wrote, “A few glimpses from the IPL auction in Jeddah. Here is day 1.”
The actress looked gorgeous in a white embroidered Anarkali. She draped a white dupatta adorned with colourful floral designs. Black shades, silver hoops and a bindi elevated Preity’s glamour quotient. The actress wore her hair down as she stepped out of her car in one of the pictures.
A beige sling bag and peachy lips perfectly complemented the actress’ outfit. As per media reports, Punjab Kings bought a total of 23 players at the two-day auction, with India batting star Shreyas Iyer being the franchise’s most expensive signing.
Coached by Ricky Ponting, Punjab Kings also acquired Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis, pacers Aaron Hardie and Xavier Bartlett and leading wicket-takers Arshdeep Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal. They have also got a few other talented domestic players including Musheer Khan, younger brother of Team India cricketer Sarfaraz Khan.
Along with Preity, Ness Wadia is also the co-owner of Punjab Kings, with Satish Menon serving as the CEO of the franchise.
Shreyas Iyer, who was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 26.75 crore in the mega auction, is expected to lead the team in IPL 2025.
On the work front, Preity is gearing up for her return to the big screen with Lahore 1947, where she will star alongside Sunny Deol and Shabana Azmi. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, Lahore 1947 reunites Sunny and Preity, who have previously worked together in films such as Dillagi (1999), The Hero: Love Story of a Spy (2003), Yeh Raaste Hain Pyaar Ke (2001), Farz (2001) and Heroes (2008).
