Prosenjit Chatterjee plays ruthless businessman-filmmaker Srikant Roy in Amazon Prime Video’s Jubilee

Bengali film star Prosenjit Chatterjee plays businessman-filmmaker Srikant Roy, an ambitious opportunist who would go to any extent for the sake of business, in his debut Hindi web series Jubilee, set to stream on Prime Video from April 7.

The 60-year-old looks dapper in suits and crisp white shirts as the owner of Roy Talkies in a character promo video shared by the streaming platform on Tuesday.

“Srikant Roy - the star filmmaker of the Indian film industry with his one true ambition of giving Roy Talkies its biggest superstar 🌟 #JubileeOnPrime New Series, Apr 7,” reads the Tweet.

In the 30-second-long video, we see that Srikant is in search of giving Roy Talkies its biggest superstar. We also get a glimpse of his falling marriage with Aditi Rao Hydari’s character, who describes him as a “disgusting man”. The clip also shows his bond with Binod Das (Aparshakti Khurana) and his unfailing dedication towards Roy Talkies.

Set in the backdrop of the golden age of Indian cinema. Jubilee focuses on Binod Das (Aparshakti Khurana), an orderly of an influential film producer Srikant Roy (Prosenjit Chatterjee). In a twisted affair, Binod becomes actor Madam Kumar after disposing of the real Madan Kumar and goes on to become a matinee idol. The series will explore the betrayals and secrets of Bombay’s film district.

Directed by Scared Games helmer Vikramaditya Motwane, the series also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Aparshakti Khurana, Ram Kapoor, Sidhant Gupta and Wamiqa Gabbi.
