Upcoming Nag Ashwin directorial Project K — starring Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani — will become the first Indian film to feature at the San Diego Comic-Con, to be held from July 20 to July 23 in San Diego, California, the makers announced on Friday.
Deepika also shared a poster of Project K on her Instagram account and wrote, “Proud to be a part of the first ever Indian Movie to go to Comic-Con. See you there.”
Amitabh Bachchan shared his thoughts on Twitter in a long note. “I am honoured and have had the great privilege of being a part of this great enterprise in Telugu Cinema, ‘Project K’ and to have had the huge honour of being in the same frame of the Idol, Prabhas..Thank you all..and thank you Nagi Sir, for thinking of me.. The humility, the respect and the concern Prabhas has given me has been so so touching & emotional..Not for me, but for all those involved in ‘Project K’, may your hard work touch new horizons..love and prayers ♥️♥️,” his tweet read.
Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Nag Ashwin will be taking part in the event which will unveil the film’s official title, trailer and release date. Exclusive footage from the multilingual science fiction film will be shown to fans as a part of the opening night party on July 19. The cast and crew of the film will host a panel discussion, titled ‘This is Project K: First Glimpse of India’s Mytho-Sci-fi Epic’, on the next day along with an on stage performance.
Boasting a star cast of Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani, Project K is slated for a theatrical release next year.
