Actress Priyanka Chopra will star opposite The Boys actor Karl Urban in Amazon MGM Studios and AGBO’s upcoming thriller The Bluff, the 41-year-old actress-producer confirmed on Saturday, sharing a report by the US-based online news site Deadline on Instagram.

“Now and then we had a hope that if we lived and were good, God would permit us to be pirates,” the Love Again actress quoted American writer Mark Twain in the caption.

According to Deadline, The Bluff will feature Priyanka as a former female pirate who finds herself compelled to shield her family when mysterious sins of her past resurface.

Priyanka’s husband Nick Jonas, who is a member of American boy band The Jonas Brothers, also shared the report on his Instagram story.

Caribbean independent filmmaker Frank Ewen Flowers Jr., who co-wrote the Bob Marley: One Love biopic, will direct Priyanka’s upcoming film. The screenplay of The Bluff is jointly developed by Flowers and Joe Ballarini.

The Deadline report also mentions that most of the filming of Bluff will take place in Australia this spring.

The Bluff marks Priyanka’s second collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios and AGBO after the spy action series Citadel (2023), which also starred Richard Madden, Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville in key roles.

Production for Citadel Season 2 will commence this year, with Joe Russo donning the director’s hat and AGBO executive producing the project. An Indian remake of Citadel, led by Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, is also in the works.

Priyanka will also be seen in Ilya Naishuller’s action comedy Heads of State alongside Idris Elba and John Cena later this year.
