Priyanka Chopra on Monday shared her first look from the upcoming spy-thriller show Citadel, drawing positive comments from Bollywood stars like Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Rajkummar Rao, Dia Mirza and Sonali Bendre.

The upcoming series, helmed by the Russo brothers, is touted to be the first-ever global TV series —with a main show coupled with local offshoots around the world starring local talent.

Starring Priyanka and Richard Madden, the series follows the two elite spies who work for Citadel, a spy organisation that has no allegiance to any country.

According to Vanity Fair, the action-packed spy thriller is set after the fall of the organisation, leaving the two agents attempting to piece together what happened. The catch is that the spies have had their memories wiped.

Priyanka’s Nadia Sinh and Richard’s Mason Kane are Citadel colleagues who have a complicated history together. All the characters have a duality in their characteristics, given their recent memory loss.

The first season of Citadel is just the first of many series to come. An Italian series and an Indian series are already under production with Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu being cast for the Indian one. Priyanka's Nadia will be joining her Indian co-stars after the events of the first season.

Also starring Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville, the first two episodes of Citadel are set to stream on Prime Video from April 28.
