Actress Priyanka Chopra is in talks with Amazon Studios about starring in a limited series Assume Nothing, based on Tanya Selvaratnam’s memoir of the same name, entertainment magazine Deadline reported on Wednesday.
Priyanka shared a screenshot of the Deadline report on her Instagram story and wrote “Let’s go!”, hinting that she may have given her nod to starring in the series. She tagged Amazon Studios and her banner Purple Pebble Pictures on her Instagram story.
The book Assume Nothing: A Story of Intimate Violence is about the alleged abuse the author faced while dating New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, an advocate for women’s rights and prosecutor of Harvey Weinstein.
Assume Nothing will be adapted and executive-produced by Mimi Won Techentin, who will also serve as the showrunner. Priyanka will also be an executive producer on the project along with Mary Rohlich under her banner Purple Pebble Pictures, Deadline reported.
The 40-year-old will next be seen in Russo Brothers’ spy thriller series Citadel alongside Richard Madden. The series is scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on April 28. Recently, the makers unveiled the teaser of the series which received a huge response from fans.
Priyanka will also star in the romantic comedy film Love Again alongside Sam Heughan and Celine Dion. The film is slated for a May 12 release.
