Priyanka is set to reprise her role as spy agent Nadia Sinh in the upcoming series.

Produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Russo Brothers' AGBO, the spy thriller series features Richard Madden alongside Priyanka. Madden plays Mason Kane, a top-class spy agent and Nadia's lover.

Citadel follows the conflict between the titular spy agency and its powerful enemy syndicate Manticore. The spy action thriller also stars Rahul Kohli, Michael Trucco, Merle Dandbridge, Stanley Tucci, Matt Berry, Gabriel Leone and Lesley Manville in key roles. Irish actor Jack Reynor is expected to join the cast of Citadel Season 2.

The first season of Citadel premiered on Prime Video on April 28, 2023 and became the fourth most-watched series worldwide on Prime Video 24 days after its release.

Citadel was renewed for a second season last year. Filmmaker Joe Russo will be directing all episodes of the upcoming instalment, while David Weil will serve as the showrunner and executive producer.

An Indian adaptation of Citadel, led by Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, is slated to hit Prime Video on November 7. The Italian instalment of the global series, starring Matilda De Angelis in the titular role, will premiere on the streamer on October 10.

On the work front, Priyanka recently wrapped up shooting for her upcoming action film The Bluff, helmed by Frank Ewen Flowers. This project marks her second collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios and AGBO following Citadel. Priyanka is also set to star in Ilya Naishuller’s Heads of State alongside Idris Elba, John Cena, Paddy Considine, Stephen Root and Carla Gugino.

Additionally, the 42-year-old actress is expected to be a part of Farhan Akhtar's Jee Le Zaraa along with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.

Priyanka has joined filmmaker Barry Avrich’s upcoming documentary Born Hungry as a producer. Besides, her Marathi production venture Paani is set to be re-released in theatres across India on October 18.
