Actress Priyanka Chopra gave a shout out to her cousin Parineeti Chopra, actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh and filmmaker Imtiaz Ali on Sunday following the release of their latest Netflix film Amar Singh Chamkila.
“Congratulations Imtiaz sir, Diljit, Tisha and the team. Looks so good,” the Citadel actress wrote on her Instagram story, sharing Parineeti’s post featuring the film’s IMDb rating.
Parineeti, who essays the role of Chamkila’s wife and singing companion in the film, shared the note on her Instagram Story and wrote, “Thank you, Mimi didi.”
Diljit, who plays the titular character in the film, also shared Priyanka’s Instagram story with his followers.
“Thanks, Priyanka,” Imtiaz wrote, sharing Priyanka’s story on Instagram.
The film is a biopic on Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila, the highest record-selling Indian artiste of the 1980s. The singer, who was killed at 27 along with his wife and two members of his band, shot to fame with his song Takue Te Takua and went on to deliver several hits.
