Actress Priyanka Chopra called Angelina Jolie her inspiration in a congratulatory note after the latter took home her first Tony Award for the production of the musical The Outsiders on Monday.

Based on SE Hinton’s 1967 coming-of-age novel of the same name. Jolie and her daughter Vivian produced the musical, which went on to win the Tony Award for Best Musical this year.

Sharing a candid picture of Angelina and Vivienne from the awards show, Priyanka wrote, “Huge congratulations to this angel who deserves everything in life and more! Congratulations on winning the Tony for best musical for The Outsiders and also multiple awards and 12 nominations!! You’re a force, and I’m so inspired by you every day @angelinajolie. Congratulations Vivian.”

At the Tony Awards, which took place on June 16, Angelina and Vivienne twinned in teal ensembles. While the former looked stunning in an Atelier Versace strapless gown featuring a sweetheart neckline and corseted waist, her daughter rocked a white shirt under a teal waistcoat paired with matching trousers and a bowtie.

On the work front, Priyanka recently started shooting for her upcoming thriller The Bluff in Australia. The film, which also stars The Boys actor Karl Urban, will see Priyanka as a former female pirate who must protect her family “when mysterious sins from her past resurface,” according to IMDb’s official synopsis.

The Bluff marks Priyanka’s second collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios and AGBO after the spy action series Citadel, which stars Richard Madden, Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville.

Priyanka has recently wrapped up shooting for the action-comedy Heads of State and has also joined the team of Barry Avrich’s upcoming documentary Born Hungry as a producer.
