Priyanka Chopra and Karan Johar were spotted hugging each other in a viral video shot at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre opening night on Friday, days after the actress’s explosive interview about getting sidelined in Bollywood sparked debates on social media.

The video shows Karan hugging a smiling Priyanka and then embracing her husband Nick Jonas, an American singer-songwriter. The 40-year-old actress was seen mingling with her Bajirao Mastani co-stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone at the event before meeting Karan.

In the recent interview that went viral, Priyanka had talked about how she was being pushed into a corner in Bollywood.

“I was being pushed into a corner in the industry. I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, I am not good at playing that game, so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break,” the Quantico star said in the podcast Armchair Expert, hosted by Dax Shepherd.

Following the release of the episode, Kangana Ranaut had come out in support of her Fashion co-star and tweeted that “everyone knows Karan Johar had banned her.”

Priyanka and Nick landed in Mumbai on Friday afternoon with their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. The couple were among the several stars at the opening night of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre.
