Priyamani, Prakash Raj, Narain and Gautham Vasudev Menon have joined the cast of Vijay’s final film, tentatively titled Thalapathy 69, the makers announced on social media on Thursday.
The announcement was made after the addition of Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde and Mamitha Baiju to the cast. The yet-to-be-titled H. Vinoth directorial marks Priyamani’s first collaboration with Vijay. “#Thalapathy69 family is happy to ‘OFFICIALLY’ welcome #Priyamani,” KVN Productions wrote alongside the announcement poster.
Gautham Vasudev Menon is set to share the screen with Vijay following their collaboration in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Leo. Prakash Raj played the antagonist in Vijay’s Ghilli and Varisu.
Thalapathy 69, slated to hit theatres in October 2025, is reportedly going to be Vijay’s last film before he ventures into politics. Vijay, who was last seen in Venkat Prabhu’s GOAT, launched his political party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam in February and announced his plans to contest the 2026 Tamil Nadu assembly polls.
On October 1, the production house announced that Bollywood actor Bobby Deol will play the main antagonist in the film. It marks the second Tamil film of Bobby’s career following his Tamil cinema debut with Suriya-starrer Kanguva, slated to hit theatres on November 14.
Venkat K Narayana will produce Thalapathy 69 under the banner of KVN Productions, while Jagadish Palanisamy and Lohith N.K will serve as co-producers. Anirudh Ravichander has scored music for the film.
