Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer The Goat Life gets new release date next month

Helmed by Blessy, the survival drama was initially slated to hit the screens on April 10

Prithviraj Sukumaran’s The Goat Life, initially slated to release on April 10, will now hit theatres on March 28 in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada, the makers announced through an Instagram post on Tuesday.

“The long wait gets shorter...#TheGoatLife releasing worldwide on 28th March, 2024! #Aadujeevitham #TheGoatLifeOn28thMarch,” they wrote, sharing a poster of the film.

Based on a true incident, the survival drama is an adaptation of the 2008 Malayalam novel Aadujeevitham by Benyamin. It revolves around a Malayali immigrant labourer who finds himself forced into slavery as a goatherd on a secluded farm in Saudi Arabia.

Written, directed and co-produced by Blessy, The Goat Life features an ensemble cast of Jimmy Jean-Louis, Amala Paul, Rik Aby, KR Gokul and Talib al Balushi in pivotal roles.

Jointly produced by Visual Romance Image Makers, Jet Media Production and Alta Global Media, the film’s music has been composed by A.R. Rahman along with sound designer Resul Pookutty.
