Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer Aadujeevitham — The Goat Life has crossed the Rs-100 crore mark in worldwide gross collections, the actor announced on Saturday.
Helmed by Blessy, the survival drama is an adaptation of Benyamin's acclaimed 2008 novel Goat Days.
“100 Cr and counting at the Global Box Office! Thank you for this unprecedented success! ,” Prithviraj wrote on X alongside a poster of the film with the latest box office figures.
As per industry data-tracking website Sacnilk, Aadujeevitham — The Goat Life kickstarted its journey with a solid opening, amassing Rs 7.6 crore nett on its debut day, followed by Rs 6.25 crore nett on the second day. The momentum continued as the movie garnered Rs 16.45 crore nett over the weekend, followed by Rs 16.8 crore nett from Monday to Thursday.
On its second Friday in theatres, The Goat Life managed to rake in Rs 2.75 crore nett in India, pushing its total domestic earnings to an impressive Rs 49.85 crore nett.
Produced by Visual Romance, The Goat Life revolves around Najeeb, an immigrant labourer from Kerala, who finds himself enslaved in a remote desert farm in the Middle East. Amala Paul, K.R. Gokul, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Talib al Balushi and RikAby also feature in the movie. A.R. Rahman has composed the original score for the film.
The success of The Goat Life follows hot on the heels of another Malayalam survival saga, Manjummel Boys. Directed by Chidambaram, the film concluded its theatrical run with an impressive domestic haul of Rs 126 crore nett and global earnings touching a staggering Rs 220 crore gross.
