Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran has recently heaped praise on filmmaker Prashanth Neel for the latter’s vision for Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire ahead of the Prabhas-starrer’s release on December 22.
Recalling moments from the script-reading session a couple of years back, the actor said it had taken him about 30 seconds to say that he would like to be part of the project. “I think I have a fantastic role, and it is a Prashanth Neel film, who wouldn’t want to work with him!”
Talking about Prashanth’s directorial acumen, Prithviraj said the filmmaker has got a solid command of his craft. “He’s so confident with his craft, in narrating, and when an actor comes up with a new idea or if you want to walk to Prashanth for a scene you want, and if you're able to convince him, he will change everything around you. He will change the plan of the shoot entirely around the new idea that you have pitched.”
“That is one of the most enjoyable things about working with Prashanth. He likes being surprised,” the actor added.
Set in the fictional city of Khansaar, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire follows the story of two friends played by Prabhas and Sukumaran. It also features Shruti Haasan, Eshwari Rao, Jagapathi Babu and Sriya Reddy.
Backed by Hombale Films, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire will hit theatres on December 22.
