Prithviraj Sukumaran has completed dubbing for the Prabhas-led film Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, where he voices his character in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam, the actor confirmed on Sunday.

Drumming up excitement for the film’s pre-Christmas release, the Kaapa star posted two pictures, one of him behind the mic inside the dubbing station and the other of the mic with the film playing in the background.

“#Salaar Final dubbing corrections done. I have had the privilege of lending my own voice for all my characters across various languages I’ve worked in over the years. I have even dubbed for some of my characters in multiple languages,” he wrote in the caption.

Prithviraj also mentioned the challenges of dubbing for the same character in five different languages. “But to be dubbing for the same character, in the same film in 5 different languages is a first for me. Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Hindi and of course Malayalam. And what a film to do it for! Deva and Varadha will meet you in theatres across the world on the 22nd of December 2023!”

Prabhas will play the role of Deva/Salaar in Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, while Sukumaran will play the role of Deva’s friend Vardharaja Mannaar/Varadha. Released over a week ago, the trailer for Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire has crossed 150 million views in all languages combined.

Directed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire will be the first collaboration between the KGF director and the Baahubali actor. Produced by Hombale Films, the Telugu-language epic action thriller also stars Shruti Haasan and Jagapathi Babu and is set to release theatrically on December 22.
