Music composer Pritam Chakraborty has shared a behind-the-scenes video from a recording session with the late singer KK on the latter’s second death anniversary, penning a note in his remembrance.
KK died due to a cardiac arrest on May 31 in 2022 after performing in Kolkata.
“Sharing an old video...no particular reason except that it's a video I see so very often. It seems like yesterday. I miss you everyday, my friend,” wrote Pritam alongside the video on Instagram on Friday.
The video begins with KK recording the 2019 song Kal Ki Hi Baat Hai from Chhichhore inside a studio. It includes stills of Pritam with his kids Purvesh and Ishqa and filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari. The video also features clips of Pritam and KK sharing moments of laughter and embracing each other.
Fans expressed their admiration for the musical bond between Pritam and KK in the comments section. “Your friendship with KK sir is like none other in the music industry,” wrote one social media user, while another commented, “Ufff…Can’t find anything better than this for the ears Thank you Pritam Da to sharing this amazing vocal of KK sir.”
KK and Pritam had a successful partnership, collaborating on numerous hit songs such as Alvida (2007), O Meri Jaan (2007), Zara Sa (2008), Haan Tu Hain (2008), Dil Ibaadat (2008), Mere Bina (2010) and Tujhe Sochta Hoon (2012).
On the work front, Pritam has composed music for Kabir Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala’s upcoming sports drama Chandu Champion starring Kartik Aaryan. Additionally, Pritam is working on two more projects — Anurag Basu’s Metro In Dino and Aashiqui 3.
