Filming for Season 4 of Prime Video’s hit comedy-drama series Panchayat has begun, actor Durgesh Kumar announced on Tuesday.
“Dekh raha hai Binod,” the actor, who plays the role of Banrakas, wrote in reference to Ashok Pathak’s character Binod alongside a picture of a clapperboard.
The picture shows a clapperboard with the words “shoot begins” prominently displayed. In the background, a warm sunset casts a golden glow over a rustic sign board that welcomes visitors to Phulera.
Fans flooded the comment section with their excitement over the upcoming season. “Kya baat hai🔥🙌,” one of them wrote. “Bhaiya best wishes ❤️🙌,” another fan commented.
Deepak Kumar Mishra, who has directed the previous instalments of the series, will be helming the fourth season in collaboration with Akshat Vijaywargiya. It will be produced by Arunabh Kumar, who has backed the previous seasons as well.
Also featuring Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav and Neena Gupta in pivotal roles, the series follows the journey of engineering graduate Abhishek Tripathi, played by Jitendra Kumar, who ends up working at a panchayat office in a remote village after failing to find a job of his calibre.
Panchayat won the inaugural best web series (OTT) award at the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in November last year.
Season 3 of Panchayat hit Prime Video on May 28.
