The makers of Amazon Prime Video’s hit show Mirzapur will drop a bonus episode for Season 3 later this month, revealed Ali Fazal, who plays Guddu Pandit on the show, in a teaser dropped by the streamer on Sunday.
“y'all are not ready for this Bonus episode aane wala hai, gaddi ki peti baandh lijiye #MirzapurOnPrime,” Prime Video wrote in the caption accompanying the teaser.
In the one-minute-28-second long teaser, Fazal, in character as Guddu, jokes about having to rough up some people at the Prime Video office to get his hands on the deleted scenes. He encouraged fans to “keep an eye out for the bonus episode”, adding, “You will have a blast watching it. Your mind will be blown. I promise.”
Fazal also teased the return of a “stud type guy” whom Guddu had killed. He hinted that this character is “too cool to stay dead” and is eager to come back. “It’s gonna be fun,” he signed off.
Soon after the video dropped on social media, fans began speculating in the comments who the returning character might be. Most of the viewers seem to think that Munna Bhaiya (Divyenndu) might make a return in this bonus episode.
Produced by Excel Entertainment, Mirzapur Season 3 premiered on July 5 after a four-year hiatus. Co-directed by Gurmmeet Singh and Anand Iyer, the latest season consists of 10 episodes. The star-studded cast includes Pankaj Tripathi, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Rasika Dugal, Vijay Varma, Isha Talwar, Anjum Sharma, Priyanshu Painyuli, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, Rajesh Tailang, Sheeba Chadha, Meghna Malik and Manu Rishi Chadha.
