Prime Video has added actresses Valorie Curry and Susan Heyward to its cast of popular superhero series The Boys, the streaming platform announced on Tuesday.
Curry as Firecracker and Heyward as Sister Sage will join the list of superheroes in The Boys. Both the actresses will have series regular roles in the upcoming season, Prime Video said in a press release.
Additionally, Cameron Crovetti, who recurred as Ryan, son of Homelander (Antony Starr) in seasons two and three, has been promoted to series regular for the new instalment.
Based on bestselling comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys was a breakout hit when it launched in 2019.
Meanwhile, Netflix also announced its new South Korean movie Great Flood starring Squid Game star Park Hae-soo on Tuesday.
Park, who found global fame after playing the role of Cho Sang-woo in smash hit drama series Squid Game, most recently starred in the South Korean remake of Money Heist titled Money Heist: Korea Joint Economic Area. The show featured Park as former North Korean prisoner Song Jung-ho aka Berlin.
To be directed by Kim Byung-woo, the movie is set around the last day on Earth where a great flood hits. It will depict the lives of individuals who attempt survival from inside a flooding apartment.
