Actress Preity Zinta recently turned heads in a Seema Gujral-designed sequined pink sari during her second red-carpet appearance at the 77th annual Cannes Film Festival in southern France.
The 49-year-old actress, who attended the screening of Michel Hazanavicius’s La Plus Precieuse des Marchandises (The Most Precious of Cargoes) on May 25, teamed her shimmery sari with an embellished sleeveless blouse and Chopard statement earrings.
Flaunting her wavy tresses, she completed her look with kohl-rimmed eyes and a nude lip shade.
In her first appearance at Cannes this year, Preity had dazzled in a backless white column gown.
Preity is currently in Cannes to present the Pierre Angenieux Award to Indian cinematographer Santosh Sivan, who worked with her in Mani Ratnam’s 1998 film Dil Se, also starring Shah Rukh Khan. They are reuniting for her upcoming film Lahore 1947, which also features Sunny Deol and Shabana Azmi in key roles.
Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, Lahore 1947 marks a reunion for Sunny and Preity, who have previously collaborated on films such as Dillagi (1999), The Hero: Love Story of a Spy (2003), Yeh Raaste Hain Pyaar Ke (2001), Farz (2001), and Heroes (2008).
Preity made her Cannes debut in 2006, attending the premieres of The Wind That Shakes the Barley and Paris, Je T'aime. In 2013, she attended the festival as the brand ambassador for luxury watch brand Chopard.
