Actress Preity Zinta had a brief reunion with mother Nilprabha Zinta during the Thanksgiving weekend, she said on Wednesday, sharing photos on social media.

Preity said that she took a “short trip across the globe” during Thanksgiving this year to meet her mother. She also expressed gratitude for her mother’s love and support over the years.

“Short trips across the globe are pretty hectic and stressful. This thanksgiving weekend made me realise that true wealth is when you have family, that you truly love around you. I’m so grateful for the best mom in the galaxy and the best family,” she wrote.

The actress also shared a late birthday message for her mother, whose birthday was on December 1. “Happy Belated birthday ma. You are the strongest woman I know & the sweetest. Love you to the moon & back,” reads her caption on Instagram.

The carousel contains a couple of selfies featuring Preity and her mum. One of the photos also shows Preity planting a kiss on her mother’s cheek.

Hrithik Roshan and his ex-wife Sussanne Khan reacted to the post and extended birthday wishes to Preity’s mum.

Thanksgiving was celebrated on November 28 this year. In addition to Preity, Sonam Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra Jonas were among the Bollywood stars who shared glimpses of their Thanksgiving celebrations with family.

Preity recently attended the two-day IPL auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as the co-owner of Punjab Kings.

On the work front, she is gearing up for her return to the big screen with Lahore 1947, where she will star alongside Sunny Deol and Shabana Azmi. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, Lahore 1947 reunites Sunny and Preity, who have previously worked together in films such as Dillagi (1999), The Hero: Love Story of a Spy (2003), Yeh Raaste Hain Pyaar Ke (2001), Farz (2001) and Heroes (2008).
