Actress Preity Zinta on Monday hopped on the Barbiecore trend, inspired by Greta Gerwig’s film Barbie, through a pink-themed video posted on Instagram.
Decked up in a frill-covered pink dress and silver heels, Preity went for playful poses to bring out the Barbie vibes. She sat on a pink satin bed in a pink-themed room at the beginning of the short video. Her movements were in sync with Aqua’s Barbie Girl song. The actress held a pink telephone and smiled charmingly at the camera.
“Channeling my inner Barbie. Did this fun shoot some time ago & couldn’t resist posting it after seeing #Barbie this weekend. LOVED the movie & the fact that the theater was mostly Pink. So much fun watching a movie after so long. #Barbiethemovie #Movieweekend #Ting,” Preity wrote alongside the video.
Fans were awe-struck at the actress’s take on the iconic doll. One of them wrote, “You are the real Barbie of Bollywood,” while another wrote, “Now we need an Indian Barbie starring you, and @hrithikroshan could be Ken.”
On the professional front, Preity Zinta’s most recent appearance was in Neeraj Pathak's action-comedy film Bhaiaji Superhit in which she starred alongside Sunny Deol. She also made a guest appearance on the American sitcom Fresh Off The Boat alongside Vir Das.
