Telugu-language superhero actioner HanuMan is going to have a sequel called Jai HanuMan, filmmaker Prasanth Varma announced on Monday, days after the movie crossed the Rs 100-crore mark worldwide.
Taking to his X account, Prasanth expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming love and support showered upon HanuMan by audiences across the globe. The director also shared a glimpse of the upcoming film through a poster that has “Jai Hanuman begins…” written across it. Accompanying the post was a second picture that shows Prasanth holding the script in front of an idol of Lord Hanuman.
“With gratitude for the immense love and support showered upon #HanuMan from audiences across the globe, I stand at the threshold of a new journey by making a promise to myself! #JaiHanuman Pre-Production Begins on the auspicious day of #RamMandirPranPrathistha ,” he wrote in the caption.
HanuMan, featuring an ensemble cast including Teja Sajja, Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Vinay Rai, is set in the fictional village of Anjanadri, where a local boy, Hanumantha (Teja Sajja), gains superpowers by accident and uses it to save his village from evil forces.
