Prajakta Koli, Shreyas Talpade, Sumeet Vyas to star in anthology Zindaginama; trailer out

Also starring Shweta Basu Prasad and Shivani Raghuvanshi, the six-episode series is slated to premiere on Sony LIV on October 10

Prajakta Koli, Shreyas Talpade, Sumeet Vyas and Shweta Basu Prasad are set to star in Sony LIV’s anthology series Zindaginama, which promises to delve into the complexities and challenges of mental health disorders in daily life to mark World Mental Health Day on October 10.

Dropped by the streamer on October 3, the two-minute-seven-second-long trailer shows Shreyas’ character battling schizophrenia, while Prajakta’s character struggles with an eating disorder. Shweta portrays a newly married woman with a pathological fear of physical touch. Shivani Raghuvanshi’s character also confronts a similar fear of intimacy.

Yashaswini Dayama plays a medical professional who commits to helping Prajakta navigate her mental health crisis. The ensemble cast also includes Lilette Dubey, Anjali Patil, Ivanka Das, Mohammad Samad, Sayandeep Sengupta, Tanmay Dhanania and Shruti Seth.

The anthology series is designed to shed light on the inner struggles that often go unheard. It comprises six stories, touted as tales of ‘hope, strength and positivity’. The first episode Bhanwar is directed by Munjya director Aditya Sarpotdar. Second episode Swagatam is helmed by Sukriti Tyagi. Third episode One-One is directed by Mitakshara Kumar. Danny Mamik has directed the fourth episode titled Caged. The fifth episode, titled The Daily Puppet Show, is directed by Rakhee Sandilya. Sahaan has helmed the final episode Purple Duniya.
