The Hindi version of Prabhas’ Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire will stream on Disney+ Hotstar from February 16, the streamer announced on Friday, days after an English-dubbed version of the film premiered on Netflix — the platform that is already streaming the Prashanth Neel directorial in Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada.

“Khansaar me hua laal alert jaari, kyuki Vardharaja aur Deva ki dosti padegi sab pe bhaari. #SalaarHindi streaming from 16th Feb,” wrote the streamer, alongside a video montage of action sequences from the film.

Salaar, also starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, premiered on Netflix on January 20 in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam dubbed versions. An English dubbed version of the high-octane actioner dropped on the streaming platform on February 5.

However, the delay in the release of its Hindi version had left Netizens frustrated. “We want it's Hindi version please,” commented one social media user on Netflix’s Instagram post, while another wrote, “What’s wrong with Hindi , max audience wants Salaar in Hindi.”

Set in the fictional city of Khansaar, Salaar narrates the story of two friends-turned-foes, Deva (Prabhas) and Vardha (Prithviraj). In addition to Prabhas and Prithviraj, the film also features Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu and Bobby Simha in key roles.

Salaar released theatrically on December 22 last year, ahead of the Christmas and New Year holidays. The epic action drama went on to become the highest grossing Telugu film of 2023, earning over 700 crore at the box office.

The makers recently issued a statement, announcing the actioner’s release in Japanese theatres this summer. A Spanish version of the film is also slated to hit theatres in Latin America on March 7.
