Prabhas-starrer Salaar stays ahead of Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki with Rs 344.67 crore collection in India after second weekend

Rajkumar Hirani’s comedy drama has so far raked in Rs 188 crore at the domestic box office

Both Salaar: Part One- Ceasefire and Dunki fared well at the box office on their second weekend, with the Prabhas-starrer actioner maintaining its lead over the Shah Rukh Khan-led comedy drama.

The latest figures reported by industry tracker Sacnilk indicate that Salaar raked in Rs 14.50 crore nett on its second Sunday, propelling its total collection in India to a staggering Rs 344.67 crore nett. It is on course to breach the Rs 350-crore nett milestone at the domestic box office after 10 days of theatrical run, trade reports indicated on Monday.

Produced by Hombale Films, Salaar has already crossed the Rs 500-crore milestone globally. Featuring Prabhas and Prithiviraj Sukumaran as friends who turn into arch rivals, the movie managed to rake in a humongous Rs 308 crore nett in the first week. On its second Friday, the Prashanth Neel-helmed actioner minted Rs 9.62 crore nett, followed by Rs 27.05 crore nett over the weekend.

On the other hand, Rajkumar Hirani-helmed Dunki saw a commendable increase in earnings upon entering its second week, amassing Rs 7 crore nett and Rs 9 crore nett, respectively, on Friday and Saturday. On the second Sunday, the film's collections soared to Rs 12.9 crore nett, taking the total 11-day earning to Rs 188.22 crore nett.

According to Red Chillies Entertainment, Dunki has so far amassed a staggering Rs 361.30 crore gross worldwide. It ended the first week with a collection of Rs 160.22 crore nett.
