Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki and Prabhas’ Salaar are set to lock horns at the box office this Christmas as both the films will arrive in theatres on December 22.
On Friday, the makers of Prabhas’ Salaar announced the release date of the movie. “Coming Blood Sooner! #SalaarCeaseFire Worldwide Release On Dec 22, 2023,” they wrote on X along with a poster that depicts Prabhas, bloodied and holding a blood-stained sword, setting the stage for an intense cinematic experience.
The makers of Dunki had earlier announced that the film, also starring Taapsee Pannu, would release during Christmas this year. During a recent #AskSRK session on X, Shah Rukh confirmed the same. When one of the Bollywood star’s fans asked him, “Dunki ki release date fix hai na? #AskSRK”, the actor replied, “#Dunki Fixed hi hai. Aur kya karoon Maathe pe gudwa loon!”
Originally slated for a September 28 release, Salaar faced a delay due to unforeseen technical issues. Hombale Films, the production company behind Salaar, had issued a statement earlier this month to explain the reasons behind the delay and express their gratitude for the unwavering support of fans.
“We deeply appreciate your unwavering support for #Salaar. With consideration, we must delay the original September 28 release due to unforeseen circumstances,” they wrote in the statement.
“Please understand this decision is made with care, as we're committed to delivering an exceptional cinematic experience. Our team is working tirelessly to meet the highest standards,” they concluded their statement.
