Prabhas’s upcoming film Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire is all set to release in more than 5,000 locations across the world, including 1979 screens in North America, according to distributors handling the actioner's overseas release.
Prathyangira Cinemas, one of the overseas distributors of Salaar, on Monday announced on Twitter that the movie would be released in a record number of locations in North America for an Indian film. “A grand salute from our side to the 𝘽𝙤𝙭 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝘽𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙙𝙤𝙯𝙚𝙧…. Marking the Man’s birthday year with the locations we are releasing in North America. PRABHAS 1979 Locations - ALL TIME RECORD RELEASE FOR ANY INDIAN FILM,” they posted.
Hombale Films, the makers of K.G.F, had dropped the first teaser of Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire on July 6, giving a glimpse of Prabhas as a sword-wielding gangster baying for blood. It took less than two days for the teaser to clock more than 100 million views and 1.9 million likes on YouTube.

Directed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire will be released worldwide in Telugu along with dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam on September 28. Apart from Prabhas, the movie also features Prthiviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Tinnu Anand and Jagapathi Babu in important roles.
