Nag Ashwin's sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD inched closer to the Rs 150-crore mark at the domestic box office on Friday, raking in Rs 54 crore nett in India on Day 2 after an opening day collection of Rs 95.3 crore, as per industry data-tracking platform Sacnilk.
This takes the total two-day collection of Kalki 2898 AD in India to Rs 149.3 crore nett.
As per Sacnilk, the Telugu version of Kalki 2898 AD was the top performer, earning Rs 25.65 crore nett on Day 2. The Hindi-dubbed version collected Rs 22.5 crore nett, while the Tamil version brought in Rs 3.5 crore nett. The Kannada and Malayalam versions contributed Rs 0.35 crore nett and Rs 2 crore nett, respectively.
The international box office performance of Kalki 2898 AD has also been impressive, with North America leading the charge. The worldwide gross for the Nag Ashwin-starrer after two days stands at Rs 298.5 crore gross, according to the makers of the film.
Kalki 2898 AD boasts an ensemble cast including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan. The film also features cameos by S.S. Rajamouli, Ram Gopal Varma, Vijay Deverakonda, Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur.
