Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD crossed the Rs 500-crore mark at the domestic box office on Sunday, its 11th day in theatres, as per trade figures from the industry-tracking platform Sacnilk.

Featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, Kalki 2898 AD opened strong in India on June 27, raking in a whopping Rs 95.3 crore nett on its opening day. By the end of its first week, Kalki 2898 AD had accumulated Rs 414.85 crore nett.

The Prabhas-starrer began its second week in theatres with a collection of Rs 16.7 crore nett on Friday. On its 10th day, the film brought in Rs 34.15 crore nett. On Sunday, the dystopian thriller added another Rs 44.35 crore nett to its collections.

The domestic total of Kalki 2898 AD has climbed to a staggering Rs 510 crore nett, according to Sacnilk.

The Telugu version of Kalki 2898 AD has been performing better than the other dubbed versions, contributing Rs 245.55 crore nett. The Hindi version’s total collection stands at Rs 212.4 crore nett, making it the highest grosser of the year in the Hindi market, beating Hrithik Roshan-starrer Fighter.

The Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada versions of Kalki 2898 AD have contributed Rs 52.1 crore nett to the collections so far. The film’s international performance has been equally impressive. The Nag Ashwin-directorial has minted over Rs 800 crore gross at the worldwide box office.
