Prabhas’ Salaar shoots past Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki to breach Rs 300-crore mark globally

The Prashanth Neel directorial, also starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan, amassed Rs 325 crore gross worldwide in three days

Prabhas-starrer Salaar: Part 1 — Ceasefire crossed the Rs 300-crore milestone globally within three days, leaving Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki far behind as the latter could only manage Rs 157.22 crore worldwide in four days since its release on December 21.

KGF helmer Prashanth Neel’s recent actioner, which also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan, amassed an impressive Rs 325 crore gross worldwide and is expected to witness a further surge on the Christmas holiday on December 25.

Opening with a monstrous Rs 90.7 crore nett on December 22, Salaar raked in Rs 56.35 crore nett on Day 2 and Rs 61 crore nett on Day 3 in India alone. This stellar performance takes the movie’s three-day total collection to Rs 208.05 crore nett at the domestic box office.

Amidst the box office onslaught by Salaar, Shah Rukh’s Dunki began with Rs 29.2 crore nett on its opening day, followed by Rs 20.12 crore nett and Rs 25.61 crore nett on the second and third days at the domestic box office, respectively.

Also starring Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal, the Rajkumar Hirani directorial exhibited significant growth on Sunday, garnering approximately Rs 31.50 crore nett in India, propelling its four-day domestic collection to surpass Rs 106.43 crore nett.
