Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba stars Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey, Sunny Kaushal and Jimmy Shergill were recently in Lucknow for promotions of the romantic thriller ahead of its August 9 premiere on Netflix.

“Muskuraiye, these Hasseen Dillrubas are in Lucknow (Smile, these Hasseen Dillrubas are in Lucknow),” wrote the streaming platform on Instagram on Tuesday, sharing pictures of the actors standing in front of the Rumi Darwaza during a promotional event in Lucknow.

While Taapsee looked gorgeous in a pink-and-crimson ombre chiffon sari, Sunny sported a beige vest.

Both Vikrant and Jimmy looked dapper in casual outfits. Vikrant paired his black sweatshirt with jeans. Jimmy, on the other hand, wore a beige t-shirt over grey cargos.

A sequel to Vinil Mathew’s 2021 Netflix thriller Haseen Dillruba, Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba explores the serious repercussions of Rani Saxena’s (Taapsee) growing interest in Abhimanyu (Sunny) and her husband Rishabh’s (Vikrant) ensuing jealousy.

Jimmy plays a cop, who is also the uncle of Rani’s former lover Neel Tripathi (Harshvardhan Rane).

In the original film, Neel was murdered by Rani in an attempt to save her husband's life. Determined not to let imprisonment separate them, Rani and Rishabh devised an ingenious plan, inspired by one of Dinesh Pandit’s thriller novels, to cover up the murder.

Directed by Jayprad Desai, the sequel is backed by Aanand L Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series Films. Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba is penned by Kanika Dhillon, who also wrote the screenplay for the original movie.
