Following the trailer and teaser release of Nani’s Dasara and Fahadh Faasil’s Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum, the makers of several other upcoming movies from the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam film industries dropped new trailers and teasers last week. Here’s a look.
Pathu Thala (Tamil)
Sony Music South has dropped the official trailer of the upcoming Tamil-language crime thriller Pathu Thala. Helmed by Obeli. N. Krishna, the film stars Silambarasan TR, Gautham Karthik, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Kalaiyarasan, Teejay Arunasalamm and Anu Sithara in key roles.
In the two-minute-16-second-long trailer, we are introduced to a world filled with criminals and greedy politicians. The video opens with the news of the disappearance of Tamil Nadu’s chief minister and then shows us a glimpse of the power struggle. It then introduces all the main characters of the film. It also provides us with the menace of the protagonist played by Silambarasan TR.
Pathu Thala will hit cinemas on March 30.
Custody (Telugu)
The teaser of the Telugu-language action film Custody has been released. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the action drama stars Naga Chaitanya, Krithi Shetty, Arvind Swami, Sharat Kumar, Priyamani, Sampath Raj, Premgi Amaren, Vennela Kishore and Premi Vishwanath.
In the one-minute-28-second-long teaser, we get introduced to Naga Chaitanya’s rowdy police officer and then to other characters of the film. Naga Chaitanya was seen fighting with several men in the film’s earlier poster.
Custody is slated to arrive in the cinemas on May 12.
Poovan (Malayalam)
Zee5 shared the official trailer of the upcoming Malayalam-language film Poovan. Directed by Vineeth Vasudevan, The film stars Antony Varghese, Sajin Cherukayil, Vineeth Vasudevan and Jimmy Danny.
In the one-minute-six-second-long trailer, we are shown a young man (Antony Varghese), whose life is turned upside down when a rooster arrives to live in his neighbourhood.
Poovan will be streaming on Zee5 from March 24.
Raghavendra Stores (Kannada)
Hombale Films unveiled the release date teaser of its upcoming Kannada-language comedy film Raghavendra Stores. Directed by Santhosh Anandram and produced by Vijay Kiraganduru, the film stars Jaggesh Gowda and Shwetha Srivatsav in lead roles.
The one-minute-five-second-long teaser shows us a middle-aged bachelor cook (played by Santhosh Anandram) who is eager for love and tries to impress the mother of a child. The teaser also shows glimpses of Santhosh Anandram’s hilarious character.
Raghavendra Stores will hit the cinemas on April 28.
