Pictures shared by a fan account show Tom Cruise and Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav seated together at the arena in France's capital on July 28 to watch the women's artistic gymnastics qualification.
According to media reports, Cruise drew a crowd of fans as he walked around the arena, posing for selfies with many of the spectators. He also appeared in high spirits when the arena played the Mission: Impossible theme song.
Earlier this year, the Top Gun: Maverick actor announced on social media that he has partnered with Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group to co-produce original and franchise theatrical films starring him in 2024.
Ariana Grande and her Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo turned heads while they watched Simone Biles compete on Sunday. The duo also walked the red carpet during the Olympics opening ceremony on July 26. On July 28, Grande was seen cheering for 16-year-old artistic gymnast Hezly Rivera from the singer’s home state of New Jersey.
Singer-actor Nick Jonas, who is currently awaiting the release of Robert Schwartzman’s The Good Half, shared a video of Biles’ performance on the balance beam. “Incredible. Legend,” wrote Jonas alongside the video on Instagram.
After her powerful rendition of Zizi Jeanmaire's Mon Truc En Plumes at Friday’s opening ceremony, Lady Gaga was spotted cheering for Simone Biles on Sunday. Biles had made her return to the Olympics after withdrawing from the women’s team final of 2020 Tokyo Olympics to prioritise mental health. “She nailed it! What an honour to be so close,” Lady Gaga captioned her post on Instagram.
Interstellar actress Jessica Chastain showed her support for Team USA by wearing a jacket with an American flag print at Sunday’s event.
American rapper-actor Snoop Dogg also attended a badminton match between Team USA and Team China on July 28, in addition to watching Simone Biles’ stellar beam routine from the front row. The seven-time Olympic medalist topped the all-around leaderboard with a score of 59.566, the highest score achieved by any gymnast in international competitions this Olympic cycle.
Actress-producer Nicole Kidman was seen attending the women’s skateboarding finals on Monday. “Skater girls,” Kidman captioned her video on Instagram.
The Paris Olympics is scheduled to end on August 11.
