Parineeti Chopra has officially ventured into singing alongside her acting career, the Mission Raniganj actress said via an Instagram post on Thursday, announcing that she will soon come up with live performances and studio projects.
“Music, to me, has always been my happy place .. I’ve watched countless musicians all over the world performing on the stage and now it’s finally my time to be a part of that world,” the 35-year-old actress wrote on Instagram alongside a clip showing her recording a song in a studio with music directors, drummers and violinists.
The video takes viewers through the process of composing and recording a new rendition of Parineeti’s song Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahin from the 2017 film Meri Pyaari Bindu. Over the course of 30 days, Parineeti prepared herself for the recording, coordinated with the director and trained her voice for the song, she said.
Expressing her excitement for embarking on this new journey, the actress wrote how she feels “lucky”, “blessed” as well as “stressed”. “A journey that gives me the opportunity to have two careers at once! How fun (and chaotic),” Parineeti added.
Parineeti mentioned that she has worked hard, faced her fears and embraced the unknown before being able to start her singing career.
“I’m joining hands with the best @entertainmentconsultant and we’ve got some amazing things in store for you all this year. I hope you’re as excited for this as I am,” the Ishaqzaade actress signed off, announcing the music label that will be managing her recordings and live performances.
Being a trained singer, Parineeti has shown her singing prowess several times with her renditions of popular Bollywood songs. She is known for her songs like Matlabi Yariyan from The Girl On The Train (2021) and a female version of Teri Mitti from Kesari (2019).
The Mission Raniganj actress also recently crooned a special song titled ‘O Piya’ for her husband Raghav Chadha during their marriage ceremony held on September 24 last year at Udaipur. The song has both Hindi and Punjabi lyrics, written by Gaurav Duta along with Sunny M.R and Harjot Kaur.
