Adapted from Patricia Highsmith's 1955 crime novel The Talented Mr. Ripley, the psychological thriller features Andrew Scott as Tom Ripley, Johnny Flynn as Dickie Greenleaf, and Dakota Fanning as Marge Sherwood. The limited series spanning eight episodes is set in 1960s New York. Tom Ripley is enlisted by a wealthy individual to persuade his rebellious son to come back from Italy.
