Actor-turned-director Parambrata Chattopadhyay is all set to start shooting his next directorial venture Hawa Bodol 2 in London. Hawa Bodol was Parambrata’s second film as a director after debuting with Jio Kaka.

Released in 2013, Hawa Bodol delved into the lives of two childhood friends, Jeet (played by Parambrata) and Raj (Rudranil Ghosh). Jeet is well-settled with a secure job and married to the beautiful Tanuka (Raima Sen) with whom he has a son, Kabir; Raj is a struggling musician. While Jeet feels stifled by his success, Raj hungers for it, and at some point their lives get switched.

In the sequel, the two friends reunite after a decade. Raima is back as Tanuka, now the mother of a 17-year-old Kabir.

While Parambrata has reached London for the shoot, Rudranil and Raima will join him soon. Hawa Bodol 2 will be produced by Eskay Movies.

Vikram and Madhumita reunite for Ke Prothom Kachhe Eshechi

Vikram Chatterjee and Madhumita Sarcar have started shooting for Ke Prothom Kachhe Eshechi under Shieladitya Moulik’s direction in the picturesque locales of Arunachal Pradesh. This will be Vikram and Madhumita’s second film together after Kuler Achaar.

The plot of Ke Prothom Kachhe Eshechi follows the female lead — played by Madhumita — who runs away from home to avoid an impending marriage. While renting a room, she discovers a sketchbook with an unfinished story left by a former tenant. Intrigued, she embarks on a journey to find the artist. The cast includes Darshana Banik in an unusual role.
