Hoichoi has dropped the pre-teaser for their upcoming web series Nikosh Chhaya, the second instalment in Parambrata Chattopadhyay-directed Bhaduri Moshai saga.
The first instalment of the Hoichoi series, titled Parnashavarir Shaap, marked Parambrata’s OTT directorial debut last year.
Nikosh Chaya is an adaptation of the book series written by Souvik Chakraborty. The titular character, Niren Bhaduri, is a retired CBI officer-turned-occult specialist. The series will drop on Hoichoi on Bhoot Chaturdashi.
“Bhaduri Moshai is returning soon on Hoichoi. Nikosh Chhaya. Series directed by
@paramspeak premieres this Bhoot Chaturdashi, only on #hoichoi,” the streamer wrote on social media alongside a 53-second pre-teaser video.
Parnashavarir Shaap revolved around four friends — Amiyo (Gaurav Chakrabarty), Mitul (Surangana Bandyopadhyay), Titas (Anindita Bose) and Pallav (Arna Mukhopadhyay) — whose vacation in Darjeeling turns into a nightmare after they stumble upon an ancient relic that awakens dark forces.
The pre-teaser for Nikosh Chhaya begins with Niren Bhaduri performing an occult ritual. He warns viewers: “If someone calls you from behind after dark, do not turn.” A montage of Amiyo, Mitul, Titas and Pallav follows with Mitul’s voiceover announcing that they are returning soon.
Parambrata is also awaiting the release of his next feature film Ei Raat Tomar Amaar starring Aparna Sen and Anjan Dutt. Chiranjeet was last seen in Pathikrit Basu’s film Dabaru.
