Actor Pankaj Tripathi’s first look as former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the upcoming film Main ATAL Hoon was dropped by the makers of the biopic on the late politician’s 98th birth anniversary on December 25.
Main ATAL Hoon is a biopic on Vajpayee, directed by three-time National Award winner Ravi Jadhav.
Tripathi shared a motion poster of him as Vajpayee on Instagram and wrote, “Neither did I shake, nor did I ever bow down to anyone. I am a unique force. I am Atal”.
In his post, written in Hindi, the actor also said that he was grateful that he got the opportunity to play the great politician on screen. The film will release in theatres in December 2023.
In the short clip, the Mimi actor is seen in four different looks from different phases of Vajpayee’s life. The teaser shows Tripathi’s Vajpayee as a PM, a poet, a statesman and a gentleman.
The film, written by Utkarsh Naithani, is produced by Bhanushali Studios Limited and Legend Studios. The music for the film will be composed by Salim-Sulaiman and the lyrics will be penned by Sameer. Sonu Nigam has rendered his voice for the motion video announcement.
Main ATAL Hoon revolves around the journey of Vajpayee, who was also a poet, a statesman, a leader and a humanitarian.
